Terms and conditions

Purpose
Kalan provides AI-assisted school tutoring aligned with official curricula. The service guides the pupil; it does not do their homework for them, and never gives away the answer to an exercise.
Account and use
The account is opened by a responsible adult, who confirms being the child’s legal guardian. Child profiles are created and supervised by that adult, who can at any time view the progress, correct the profile details, request a copy of the data, or request its erasure — deletion goes through a request, described below.
Erasing a child profile
The request is filed from the parent area, under “My data”. It is carried out by two separate people at Kalan — whoever opens it cannot confirm it — within the legal one-month deadline, and a written confirmation is sent when it is done. Erasure is permanent: the aggregate statistics derived from it are kept in anonymous form, with no link back to the child.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions have no minimum term and renew at the end of each period. If not renewed, the account becomes read-only: progress data is kept.
Payment
Payments are handled by KkiaPay (mobile money and cards). A payment only activates a subscription after verification with the operator.
Liability
Kalan is a support tool. It does not replace a teacher or a school, and guarantees no exam outcome.
